Driven by a mission to preserve and improve the vision of patients, EyeCare Services Partners (ESP) provides ownership and practice management of ophthalmologic, optometric, and ambulatory surgery centers nationwide. Aggregating best-in-class practices, it is equipped with an array of advanced technologies to provide comprehensive and optimal clinical outcomes for patients.

“Our goal is to utilize existing and new technologies, processes, and managerial infrastructure to improve vision and prevent vision loss,” says George Neal, CEO of EyeCare Services Partners.

Providing Best in Class Technology

With a patient-centric model at its core, ESP takes a thoughtful approach to provide the best healthcare experience to patients. “We have equipped our practices with advanced technology which we utilize to meet every patient need,” says Neal. This is important as physicians approach vision, medical, and surgical care with each individual patient in mind. Through technology utilization, ESP patients receive best-in-class care.

With ESP’s advanced technologies, ophthalmologists can treat most conditions quickly and efficiently. The company encourages patients to openly discuss these technologies with doctors to mutually decide on the best possible way to treat eyesight concerns.

Every Patient Matters Always

In one instance, Neal shares how one practice diagnosed a patient with a serious health issue. After conducting a routine examination, the technician at the eye care center noticed a possible defect in the back of the eye. A visual field test was conducted for an in-depth diagnosis, and reports revealed the patient was suffering from a tumor behind the eye. The lead doctor immediately sent the patient to the ER for emergency evaluation resulting in the life-saving surgical removal of the tumor. ESP doctors and clinical teams understand that each exam is an important health evaluation while addressing vision needs.

“In ophthalmology and optometry, every staff member and provider play a very big role in diagnosing serious eye problems, which can be life threatening. Through routine annual eye exams, they can help reveal vital information about other disease states such as diabetes, hypertension, and pituitary tumors affecting patients. We enable them to preserve patients’ vision and save their lives,” says Neal.

Building Stronger Practices and Clinical Teams

ESP practices were acquired based on their excellent reputation in each community and the quality of care provided. The company’s compelling and effective practice management solutions create a foundation for their provider partners to deliver high-quality care and improve operating efficiencies. With its partnership model, ESP has strengthened the foundation of their practices during ever challenging times to ensure continued success.

Drawing upon the expertise of team leaders, compassionate physicians, and clinicians, ESP addresses a comprehensive scope of vision, medical and surgical eye care needs for the communities they support while eliminating practice management stress for eye care centers.

As the business continues to evolve, ESP has made significant changes to its recruiting and onboarding structure, training department, and career development approach. The COVID-19 pandemic compelled healthcare industry professionals to reevaluate their careers and take a hard look at their work-life balance. This change required ESP to evolve as the market did.

With nearly two thousand employees nationwide, ESP ensures diversity, equity, and inclusion among all its employees and practitioners and fosters a positive work environment. The sheer dedication of skilled team members has enabled ESP to emerge as one of the leading companies in the country to raise the bar for employee engagement.

Our goal is not to be only a leader in ophthalmic and optometric care. We approach this and drive ourselves to provide the best healthcare experience a patient can have

Commitment to Strong Leadership

ESP houses both physician and optometric advisory boards that adopt advanced and new FDA-approved technology and treatments. These technologies, coupled with novel vision correction methods, enable expert pediatric ophthalmologists to treat poor vision in children. ESP lends its helping hand in boosting the confidence of children so they can learn, grow, and thrive without having to struggle with vision-related issues.

Neal says, “Improving vision immediately translates to an improvement in your quality of life. We look at ourselves as a healthcare practice group and we must be able to connect with, provide correct experience, and make sure that we can learn and adapt to the needs of the patients.”

Neal has over thirty years of experience in healthcare leadership and has spent most of his career in eye care. He will be the first to attest that once you become involved in the eye care industry, you never want to leave. The passion for ocular health and vision is contagious, and it is the lifeblood of ESP.
