Constitution Surgery Alliance will use a digital care management platform to unify best practices across many hospitals.
Fremont, CA: Force Therapeutics, founded in 2010, is the premier patient engagement platform and research network to assist doctors in effectively expanding their reach. The Force platform uses video and digital links to engage patients directly at every stage of their care experience, from surgery scheduling through post-op recovery and beyond.
Force Therapeutics said today that Constitution Surgery Alliance (CSA), an operator of 21 ambulatory surgical clinics in the Northeast, would use its digital care management platform to decrease cost and quality variance for all total joint replacements and spine operations. The Force Therapeutics platform provides video-based instruction, virtual physical therapy, and real-time progress notifications to physicians for proactive monitoring of patient's rehabilitation.
The Force platform will be launched in Hartford Hospital-affiliated surgery sites in Hartford, Conn.: the Hartford Surgery Center, Orthopedic Associates Surgery Center, and Glastonbury Surgery Center. According to national trends, nearly 40 percent of Hartford Hospital's orthopedic surgery volume is shifting from inpatient to outpatient surgical facilities. While the three facilities now conduct roughly 800 total joint and spine surgeries annually, the volume will likely increase to approximately 2,000 treatments per year shortly.
