Increasing Demand
Nearly 17 percent of Americans are expected to be 65 or older by 2020 as the baby boomer generation approaches retirement age, which will put a tremendous strain on the healthcare industry as a whole. Although most Americans over 55 intend to remain in their homes, 20 percent will be compelled to think about living in a nursing home or assisted living facility.
