In the midst of a mental health crisis, practitioners in the United States are grappling with the dilemma of turning away those in need. According to NAMI, nearly 30 million people in the US do not receive treatment for mental health conditions, and those who do seek treatment face obstacles as a result of a fragmented and costly system. Currently, the current number of actively licensed therapists in the United States can support no more than 18 million patients per year. To truly address the country's diverse mental health care needs, it is estimated that more than ten times the current supply of therapists is required.
"We look forward to working with Humana to advance our mission of improving the mental and behavioral health resources available to their members," remarked Marc Goldberg, co-founder & CEO, Resilience Lab.
