(S2P) Founder and Executive Chairman Dr. John Norris, JD, MBA, and CEO Dr. Haden Land are pleased to announce the appointment of the Associate Vice Chancellor for Research of the University of Texas System (effective July 17th) Dr. Joan Bienvenue to its Advisory Board as a Member. And as a Member of S2P's Advisory Board Customer Relations Committee, Chaired by senior executive Ed Longstrom.
Dr. Joan Bienvenue has successfully launched two institutes dedicated to developing research, education, and workforce development programs while having spent time in industry with Lockheed Martin in research and development. She joined S2P's Advisory Board as a Full Member, effective March 1, 2023, and has been appointed to a three-year term.
Dr. Bienvenue's substantive areas of expertise cover a broad spectrum of the needs of businesses, academia, and government agencies for education, workforce development, and research needs across industries, from national security to energy—and beyond. Her passion is developing new joint programs that integrate the resources of various constituent groups to serve novel needs.
When at Oak Ridge National Lab and in partnership with the University of Tennessee System, Dr. Joan Bienvenue was responsible for UT-ORII, a joint collaborative effort funded by the State of Tennessee, to align the expertise and infrastructure of the partners and be a hub for world-class discovery, innovation, interdisciplinary graduate education, and talent development.
Previously, Dr. Bienvenue held numerous positions in technology development, research, and analysis.
