In an era where healthcare complexity often overshadows patient experience, Haxhari-Tili is reshaping hospital billing with a patient-first approach. As the Director of Hospital Billing – Dental at NYC Health + Hospitals, she operates at the critical intersection of healthcare administration, revenue cycle management and service accessibility, ensuring financial processes align with both institutional efficiency and patient well-being.

Beyond The Balance Sheet: Putting Patients First

Since 2019, Haxhari-Tili has served as the Director of Hospital Billing-Dental at NYC Health + Hospitals, where she has been at the forefront of improving financial processes and making billing more efficient. But her role goes beyond spreadsheets. She works closely with teams to streamline workflows, reduce claim rejections and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. Her leadership has helped the hospital provide uninterrupted dental care, making sure financial barriers don’t stand in the way of treatment.

A Career Built On Dedication And Growth

Haxhari-Tili’s journey to leadership was built through years of dedication and experience. Before joining NYC Health + Hospitals, she worked as a Faculty Practice Manager at Columbia University Irving Medical Center from 2014 to 2019, where she played a key role in connecting clinical teams with administrative operations to improve patient services.

Her expertise in dental administration was further honed at Morris Park Dental, where she served as Practice Administrator from 2007 to 2014. There, she handled everything from patient scheduling to staff supervision, ensuring the practice operated smoothly and efficiently.

"One of Haxhari-Tili’s greatest strengths is her ability to connect with people. Fluent in Albanian and conversational in Italian, she easily communicates with diverse patient populations and collaborates effectively with teams across the hospital"

Haxhari-Tili’s career is backed by a strong academic background. She holds a bachelor of science in biology from St. John’s University, which gives her an in-depth understanding of both the clinical and administrative sides of healthcare. Her technical skills are another reason she stands out in her field. She is highly proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and dental management software like Dentrix, which allows her to analyze financial data and optimize administrative processes effectively.

Making A Real Impact In Dental Billing

At NYC Health + Hospitals, Haxhari-Tili’s work in billing isn’t just about crunching numbers. She focuses on:

● Simplifying and streamlining billing processes

● Training staff on best practices in revenue management

● Working with insurance providers to resolve claims quickly and fairly

● Finding ways to improve revenue cycles for better financial health

Her proactive approach has reduced billing discrepancies, improved cash flow and made the process easier for both patients and hospital staff.

Fluent In Finance, Passionate About People

One of Haxhari-Tili’s greatest strengths is her ability to connect with people. Fluent in Albanian and conversational in Italian, she easily communicates with diverse patient populations and collaborates effectively with teams across the hospital. She understands that healthcare is ultimately about people and strives to ensure financial systems support rather than hinder patient care.

Haxhari-Tili’s journey is defined by a passion for problemsolving and a commitment to excellence. Her work continues to make a tangible difference in hospital-based dental care, improving efficiency, patient access and financial sustainability. Through her leadership, NYC Health + Hospitals’ dental department is not just functioning—it is thriving.
